Performing Shakespeare (Grades 7-12) - with Liam Yates

Calendar Jul 18, 2022 at 1 pm, runs for 2 weeks

In this two-week camp, students will learn all about Shakespeare. The first week will focus on understanding concepts in Shakespeare, the poetry and the context, while also assigning students their monologues and group scene parts. The entire second week will be focused on refining those pieces for performance, with a special focus on the monologues, as they can be used in a professional setting.

Beginning Handbuilding (Grades 7-12) - with Ayla Gizlice

In this two-week camp, students will learn about the art of handbuilding ceramic pieces. The first week will consist of learning basic skills used in handbuilding, like making coils, "humps and slumps", and pinch pots. The second week will consist of bisque firing, glazing, and some final piece creations.

Creative Nonfiction Writing (Grades 7-12) - Session B with Maria Piskor

In this week-long camp, students will explore non-fiction writing. Students will learn about the creative writing process from start to finish, watching their ideas take flight from drafts to the final product!

DIY Zine Making (Grades 7-12) - with Amber Sapper

Students will learn all about zines! Zines are a popular way for artists to share their work, inspiration, and interests to their audiences. Students will learn about the history of zines and create their own!

Intro to Metalsmithing (Grades 7-12) - Session G with Claire Ashby

In this week-long course, campers will learn about the basics of metal-jewelry making. The instructor will spend the first part of the week introducing campers to materials and tools, demo-ing basic techniques, and discussing ways to make useful and wearable objects. Students will practice patina applications, cold connections, and create their own pieces to take home on Friday.

Media and Theatre (Grades 2-6) - with Zora Medor

Campers will learn how to perform theatre using media tools! Students will incorporate technology, develop themes, and craft scenes together in this week-long course. By the end of the week, students will perform their play.

No Thank You, Evil! A Tabletop Roleplaying Collaborative Experience (Grades 2-6) - Session 4 with Noah Basil

Calendar Jul 25, 2022 at 9 am, runs for 1 week

Over the course of this class we will create characters and play an adventure in the "No Thank You, Evil!" roleplaying system while slowly bringing Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition rules into the mix. The Tabletop RPG is a collaborative storytelling experience guided by the teacher but contributed to by the class. By the time the class is done we will have created a story that everyone has had a hand in.

Payment plan available: $50 deposit plus 2 payments of $68.50, paid every two weeks.

Shadow Puppetry (2-6) - Session D with River Hedp

Discover the magical world of shadow puppetry! Campers will learn to manipulate shadows and light with their bodies and their own puppet creations. They will craft a story, puppets, and props for a short performance that they will present at the end of the week.
