Creating Myths, Legends, and Fairytales (2-6) - Session 1 with Shane Peterson

In this week-long camp, students will learn about some of the oldest stories in human history and how much these myths, legends, and fairy tales continue to influence storytelling today. We will read and even reenact select myths/legends—from Greek mythology to African folktales to Grimm’s fairy tales—before writing and sharing new stories of our own creation.
Handbuilding & Clay Sculpture (Grades 2-6) - with Mirna Ferreira

During this two-week camp, students will build their handbuilding and clay sculpture skills utilising basic techniques like pinching, slab building, coiling, and paddling. Campers will create, bisque fire, and glaze fire several projects to pick up after camp.
Your Voice Matters: Devised Theatre (Grades 7-12) - Session B with River Hedgepeth

Campers will collaborate for two weeks as an ensemble using their passions for social justice and theatre to construct a short performance. Campers will explore and discuss their chosen topic through story circles, movement, and even interviews to help craft their devised theatre performance. This camp will provide opportunities to build confidence, work on collaboration, and allow space for young people to develop their voice through a creative outlet.
Artful Scientists (Grades K-2) - with Maria Piskor and Susan Paino

In this week-long camp, Little Campers will learn how to consider science through an artistic lens. Throughout the week, campers will practice sculpture, painting, performance, and dance.
Beginning Podcasting (Grades 7-12) - with Carrie Boone

Love listening to podcasts and curious how you could start your own? Look no further! In this week-long camp, students will learn the history of podcasting. Collaboratively and individually, students will work to choose topics, plan themes, copyright their ideas, record, produce, and upload a podcast!
Cloak and Dagger (Grades 2-6) - with Jaishree Webster

In this week-long camp, students will create their own fantasy characters for which they will design costumes. Campers will learn hand and machine sewing techniques as they create cloaks, fantasy items, flags, and emblems for their characters.
Movement for Performers (Grades 2-6) - Session B with Kristy Dodson

In this week-long camp, students will have the opportunity to learn about movement and how they can best set up their bodies for success on the stage. Campers will learn acting and performances techniques through warm ups, games, and small projects.
No Thank You, Evil! A Tabletop Roleplaying Collaborative Experience (Grades 2-6) - Session 3 with Noah Basil

Over the course of this class we will create characters and play an adventure in the "No Thank You, Evil!" roleplaying system while slowly bringing Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition rules into the mix. The Tabletop RPG is a collaborative storytelling experience guided by the teacher but contributed to by the class. By the time the class is done we will have created a story that everyone has had a hand in.
